Hisashi Osanai has been General Manager of JFE Steel Corporation's solar silicon department since 2004. 

He joined JFE in 2003, and prior to that he worked in the planning and steelmaking sector.

Mr Osanai received his Master of Engineering in Metallurgy from Hokkaido University, Japan in 1984.
